Welcome to our Gippsland Medicare Local website. We are continuing to improve the quality of this site and its information for the benefit of our Gippsland community.
Gippsland Medicare Local (GML) is part of a national network of 61 Medicare Locals set up by the Australian Government to coordinate primary health care delivery, connect health to meet local needs and fill identified service delivery gaps in Gippsland’s health system.
We aim to make it easier for you to navigate the local health care system.
GML is partnering with Gippsland’s primary health care providers. We are supporting them to connect and share the information they need to responsively and effectively treat and manage individual patient’s conditions. This coordinated approach will help reduce the duplication of services, identify the gaps and improve the quality and safety of health care delivery in Gippsland.
Comprehensive Needs Assessment (CNA)
Gippsland Medicare Local, on behalf of the Commonwealth Government, is responsible for undertaking a Comprehensive Needs Assessment (CNA) of our Gippsland Community.
Your feedback on health in Gippsland is welcomed! It helps us make good decisions around health services and programs. We want to know what you think as part of our Comprehensive Needs Assessment. Click here to be part of the discussion!
