Former Department of Human Services Regional Director, Valerie Callister will act as interim GML CEO, effective from 12 March. Val is very well known throughout the Gippsland health sector, not only for her longstanding exemplary service in the Department of Human Services, but also for her previous role as CEO of the Latrobe Community Health Centre. In that former role she was instrumental in the setting up the area’s Primary Care Partnership. Her knowledge of Gippsland’s health needs and providers is unequalled. Her appointment is for four months while the Board recruits a new CEO.
