The Practical Paediatrics Program Online (PPPO)

The Royal Childrens Hospital is proud to launch its first online General Practitioner education program: The Practical Paediatrics Program Online (PPPO).  This program has been developed through a partnership with ACRRM, GPV and rural and regional Medicare Locals in Victoria.

There are 10 activities for 2012-2013.  Each activity has been designed to take about one hour to complete.  You can do as few or as many activities as you like.

Each activity consists of the following components –

  • Introduction
  • Learning materials
  • Quiz
  • Evaluation

RACGP/ACRRM CPD points will be allocated within one month of the end of the activity timeframe. There is no cost to participate.

What is the Education Program?

Analysis of education needs of the wider primary care sector is currently underway and our education program will expand as a Medicare Local to benefit both current and new members as it will provide a significantly greater choice of events and educational programs.

What does the Education Program do?

  • Design and delivery of education events to meet Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine Continuing Professional Development triennium requirements;
  • Regular assessment of General Practitioners for ideas for future education topics;
  • Design and delivery of education events for practice staff and allied health practitioners for their continuing professional development;
  • Provides individuals with assistance in finding courses and events to meet Continuing Professional Development requirements.
